OLD –
It is our goal to help everyone to be safe and have peace when joining in-person meetings. Our guidelines are based on the recommendation from CDC and the Alameda county. We are inline with the guidelines from the public schools in Fremont. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J9WaT1jXfU3nYVvqyTRcVqJr_oBGH7Vt/view). We will continue to revise the guideline as the situation changes.
1. Cleaning and Disinfection
Clean chairs and tables with disinfectants before meetings (https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2021-04/documents/cleaning-disinfecting-one-pager.pdf)
2. Meetings
- Masks are required at all times, except when actively eating.
- Clean hands with sanitizer before taking bread / cup
- Air purifiers will be used to enhance ventilation and filter viruses.
3. Travel
After international travel (exclude Canada), get tested after 3-5 days.
4. Screening and Response Scenario
Scenario 1: An individual is sick or exhibits symptoms
If an individual is sick or exhibits one or more covid-19 symptoms, stay home and get tested. If occur during meeting, leave the meeting immediately and get tested
- If tested negative – the individual can join meetings after 2 days and recovered.,
- if tested positive – follow scenario 3
Symptoms may include fever of 100.0 or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, new or unexplained: fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
Scenario 2: An individual who has had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19. (An individual is considered a close contact for five days after he/she first exposed to a covid positive person)
- Notify the Covid-19 response coordinator (Calvin Ko or Osborn Chan)
- For an individual who has no symptom, he/she can join meeting if tested negative on the day of the meeting. The individual should keep his/her mask on all the time. (During lunch, the individual should eat separately from other people)
- For an individual who has symptoms (fully vaccinated or not) or not fully vaccinated, he/she should quarantine for 5 days and be tested for COVID-19.
Scenario 3: An individual who is diagnosed with COVID-19 (tested positive).
- Monitor symptoms and seek medical advice when necessary.
- The individual should notify the Covid-19 response coordinator and should not go to meetings.
- The individual can go back to join meetings when all conditions are met
- At least 5 days after symptoms appear
- At least 1 day after all symptoms disappear
- Tested negative with antigen test (quick test kit) or 10 days after symptoms appear
Note that after covid infection, the individual will be tested positive with PCR test for 90 days. It does not mean that the person has the virus. The PCR test could pick up inactive viral fragment (which are not infectious).
